You must be a strategic thinking problem-solver who is professional, customer-focused, and results-oriented with proven experience effectively leading, developing, and motivating teams from all backgrounds and experience levels, as well as partnering with customers to ensure final products exceed expectations.
Primary responsibilities will include- Create and maintain robotic simulation in the chosen software (ROBOGUIDE, Process Simulate, Emulate3D) etc.
- Make certain proposed solutions meet the required capacity parameters such as throughput (JPH), cycle time, yearly capacity
- Ensure that all the R&M data (e.g. MTTR, MTBF, reject rate, availability) are accurately captured and utilized in throughput simulations
- Identify bottlenecks and present solutions to right size the capacity of an operation.
- Setup the safety scheme of the workcell working with other stakeholders
- Document all aspects of the workcell simulation, not limited to cycle time, robot data sheets, DCS sheets, videos of simulation, payload sheets etc.
- Attend proposal reviews, project meetings, design reviews and support integration and hardware builds
Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education- Bachelor's degree in industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing or Aerospace Engineering, or related area; or equivalent relevant experience
- Exposure and basic understanding of PLC and other controls hardware (HMI, safety apparatus, sensors etc.)
- Proficient in industry standard simulation software such as Siemens Process Simulate, Rockwell Emulate 3D, Siemens Plant Simulation, FANUC ROBOGUIDE (equivalent software experience will be considered)
- Has deployed cells using Virtual Commissioning utilizing the simulation software mentioned above, and connected PLC, HMI and Robot controller virtually to gain accurate cycle time estimates, PLC scan time estimates and validate sequence and error recovery with software engineers
- Has performed throughput simulations using discrete event simulation software (Siemens Plant Sim, AutoMod, Rockwell Arena)
- Exposure and basic understanding of how AMR are utilized in the automotive industry, ability to setup simulation path for the same
- Demonstrated skills and knowledge of safety standards (ANSI/RIA R15.06-2012, ISO 10218-1), robotic system safety and risk assessment
Preferred Qualifications - Master's Degree in related field
- 6+ years of experience in process/systems engineering
- 6+ years of work experience in robotic simulation using one of the software mentioned above
