Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with hands-on experience in TypeScript and Playwright to design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks. The ideal candidate will work closely with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality, reliable software releases.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end and UI automation frameworks using Playwright with TypeScript

• Develop automated test scripts for web applications across multiple browsers

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines

• Collaborate with development teams to understand features and identify test scenarios

• Execute automated and manual tests, analyze results, and report defects

• Ensure test coverage for functional, regression, and smoke testing

• Maintain test data and test environments

• Participate in code reviews for both test and application code

• Continuously improve test strategies, frameworks, and best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience as an SDET or Automation Test Engineer

• Hands-on experience with TypeScript and Playwright

• Solid understanding of test automation frameworks and design patterns

• Experience testing web-based applications (UI & API)

• Familiarity with REST API testing

• Experience with Git, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)

• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies

• Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with API automation tools (Postman, REST Assured, Playwright API testing)

• Knowledge of Docker and containerized test execution

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / Google Cloud Platform)

• Exposure to performance or security testing

• Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Gherkin)
