OverviewApex Systems is currently hiring for a Business Systems Analyst II with an Aerospace client. This role supports enterprise financial systems within a large-scale environment, focusing on Oracle EBS R12. The position involves system enhancements, production support, and ensuring stability across finance modules while partnering with business and IT teams to deliver reliable and efficient solutions.
Key ResponsibilitiesEnterprise System Issue Management- Monitor, track, and analyze IT issues, incidents, and service disruptions to ensure timely resolution.
- Serve as the first point of contact for IT system issues, including triage, categorization, and prioritization.
- Perform system configuration changes and customizations to resolve issues and implement improvements.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify underlying problems and implement sustainable solutions to prevent recurrence.
Enterprise System Implementation & Enhancements- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into system designs, workflows, wireframes, and user stories.
- Analyze data flows across multiple systems to develop data mapping and integration plans.
- Partner with developers to ensure system customizations align with business needs and function effectively.
- Develop and execute test scripts and testing plans (functional and regression).
- Coordinate system releases, including change management, stakeholder communication, release scheduling, and smoke testing.
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by defining strategies and working with business users to validate solutions.
Required QualificationsEducation- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Analysis, or a related technical field
- OR
- 6+ years of experience in IT business systems analysis in lieu of a degree
Experience- 2+ years of experience in IT business systems analysis
- 4-5 years of hands-on experience configuring and supporting Oracle EBS R12
- Experience supporting Finance modules such as:
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Fixed Assets (FA)
- General Ledger (GL)
- Cash Management
Technical Skills- Strong knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite (R12) configuration and support
- Experience troubleshooting enterprise systems and resolving user issues
- Ability to analyze complex business and technical problems and develop effective solutions
- Experience with system testing methodologies, including functional and regression testing
- Understanding of data flows, integrations, and system interoperability
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications- Experience working in enterprise-level IT environments
- Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) processes (e.g., incident, problem, and change management)
- Experience with workflow design, system integrations, and data mapping
- Ability to work cross-functionally with business and technical teams
- Proven ability to deliver customer-centric IT solutions that improve user experience
