Description
We are looking for a skilled Network/Systems Engineer to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. In this role, you will provide advanced technical support, troubleshoot complex software issues, and ensure efficient computer and network management for clients. Your expertise in Windows Server, Microsoft Intune, and computer networking will be vital in maintaining a robust IT infrastructure and delivering exceptional service.
Responsibilities:
Act as the primary escalation point for resolving advanced technical issues and support tickets.
Manage and update support tickets daily while maintaining clear communication with clients regarding resolutions.
Provide guidance and assistance to Level 1 support associates to enhance their troubleshooting skills.
Collaborate with IT Help Desk teams and audit IT software to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Configure and maintain network systems, including routing, switching, and firewall technologies.
Deploy and manage server environments to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Utilize tools such as Microsoft Intune, Azure Active Directory, and VMware to streamline system operations.
Implement and manage backup solutions, security protocols, and disaster recovery systems.
Optimize network performance by configuring VLANs, IP addressing, and DNS systems.
Maintain documentation for IT systems using platforms like IT Glue and other administrative tools.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in network and systems engineering.
Proficiency in Windows Server, Microsoft Intune, and Azure Active Directory.
Hands-on experience with routing, switching, and firewall configuration, including Cisco technologies.
Familiarity with virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V.
Solid understanding of networking concepts including VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and IP addressing.
Knowledge of security tools like Sophos, Cisco Umbrella, and Huntress.
Experience managing backup solutions and disaster recovery systems.
Strong problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented and dependable work ethic.
