Summary

Position Summary

The Saw Service Technician supports the team by traveling to customer sites to install, repair, and troubleshoot equipment. This role is also responsible for performing final runout and testing of completed projects at the ESCO facility, assisting with customer factory acceptance tests (FAT), and providing technical support to customers.

This is a customer-facing position requiring a high level of professionalism and strong communication skills. Travel is irregular and is expected to be approximately 50-75% of the time.

Essential Responsibilities

Travel to customer sites to install and commission custom cutting machinery and systems.

Inspect, test, and perform runout of equipment prior to shipment.

Assist in developing and maintaining technical documentation and equipment manuals.

Provide technical support via phone, email, and web-based platforms.

Travel primarily within the United States and Canada, with occasional international travel; must be able to obtain a U.S. passport.

Collaborate effectively with team members and cross-functional departments to achieve company objectives.

Education & Experience

Minimum of 5 years of related experience, with ongoing education in maintenance, repair, and operation of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Experience in one or more of the following:

  • Machine building, equipment manufacturing, installation, and commissioning
  • Food manufacturing (dairy, beverage, bakery, etc.)
  • Hydraulic systems
  • Chemical processing or manufacturing
  • Other related industries

Strong working knowledge of:

  • Pumps (gear, piston, pneumatic, centrifugal)
  • Valves, flow controls, piping, fittings, seals, and pneumatics
  • Power transmission systems (electric motors, gearboxes, cylinders, bearings)
  • Vacuum systems
  • Temperature control systems (electric, water, oil)
  • Hydraulic and electrical schematics and troubleshooting
  • PLC and HMI troubleshooting; basic programming preferred.
  • Industrial electronics troubleshooting and repair.

Experience with polyurethane processing equipment preferred but not required.

Valid driver's license required.

Compensation details: 32-36 Hourly Wage
