Summary of Job Description:

The DevOps Automation Engineer is responsible for supporting the roadmap and delivery for infrastructure automation. This position works closely with Infrastructure, Cloud, Security, Application, and Operations teams to enable standardized automation across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. With a strong emphasis on automation tools, orchestration platforms, and automation governance, The DevOps Automation Engineer helps reduce operational toil, accelerates delivery, and improves platform stability.

Responsibilities
  • Supports the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise DevOps automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions across data center, cloud, and hybrid environments.
  • Serves as a technical authority for Ansible, including playbook design, role development, collections, and orchestration workflows.
  • Responsible for the configuration and operational governance of Ansible Tower ensuring secure access, reliable execution, and standardized usage.
  • Establishes reusable automation patterns for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, patching, compliance, and lifecycle management.
  • Works with Cloud, Infrastructure, and Security teams to embed automation into CI/CD pipelines, change workflows, and operational processes.
  • Provides support for Active Directory (on-prem and hybrid) and Microsoft 365 (O365) automation, operational hygiene, and platform stability.
  • Ensures identity and productivity platforms meet enterprise security, compliance, and governance requirements.
  • Contributes to KPIs related to automation coverage, reliability, operational efficiency, and risk reduction.
  • Drives operational excellence by identifying manual intervention and improving repeatability and auditability across infrastructure platforms.
  • Evaluates new tools and technologies to improve automation maturity, standardization, and developer enablement.
  • Produces and maintains documentation, standards, and reference architectures.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required; equivalent experience may be considered
  • Minimum five years of progressive experience in infrastructure, DevOps, systems engineering, or automation roles; demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and governing enterprise-scale automation platforms; strong hands-on experience with Ansible and orchestration tooling and experience supporting hybrid infrastructure environments (on-premises and cloud).
  • Successful completion of initial and periodically required training (including but not limited to store training, Recognizing & Preventing Sexual Harassment training, Conscious inclusion training, and Landmark Forum, etc.)
  • Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.

Pay Range: P3H: $108,500-$152,500 / per year

* Within the range, individual pay is determined using various factors, including work location and experience.
