Summary

Bloom Energy is seeking a strategic and execution-focused leader to own enterprise manufacturing configuration management, change control, and process governance across our global manufacturing network. This role is responsible for maintaining the Manufacturing Master Record (MMR) as the single source of truth, driving standardized manufacturing processes, managing change control and deviation systems, and ensuring configuration discipline across products, facilities, equipment, automation, and digital manufacturing systems.

The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in manufacturing operations, quality systems, configuration management, and cross-functional leadership within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Responsibilities
  • Own and maintain the Manufacturing Master Record (MMR) as the authoritative source for manufacturing process standards, configurations, and traceability across all production sites.
  • Lead the enterprise Change Control Board (CCB), ensuring timely review, approval, implementation, and communication of manufacturing changes.
  • Establish and govern global change control, configuration management, document control, and deviation management processes.
  • Drive copy-exact manufacturing execution by ensuring consistency, compliance, and controlled deployment of process changes across the manufacturing network.
  • Maintain enterprise deviation management systems, including risk assessments, mitigation plans, approvals, monitoring, and closure activities.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Digital Manufacturing, and Product teams to evaluate and implement manufacturing improvements.
  • Own document control processes, including SOPs, work instructions, manufacturing specifications, training requirements, and revision management.
  • Ensure configuration control of manufacturing systems, automation programs, MES, analytics platforms, digital twins, and AI/ML-enabled manufacturing applications.
  • Support manufacturing readiness reviews, factory launch activities, qualification programs, audits, and stage-gate governance processes.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise knowledge management systems that capture lessons learned, best practices, failure modes, and operational standards.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance manufacturing scalability, quality, operational efficiency, and global standardization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, manufacturing engineering, quality systems, configuration management, or change control leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated experience leading document control, configuration management, or quality management systems in a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of PLM, MES, ERP, quality systems, and manufacturing process governance.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive alignment across multiple sites and organizations.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, project management, and communication skills.
