This team is building stronger data governance practices around cybersecurity data, improving the quality and reliability of security and risk data, and supporting the continued development of a Cybersecurity Data Lakehouse. The group partners closely with data owners, developers, governance leads, analysts, and information security stakeholders to ensure critical cyber data is accurate, well-governed, and ready for reporting, testing, and analytics.

What's In Store For You:

Engagement: W2 only (no C2C/1099)

This is a hybrid opportunity based in Charlotte, North Carolina, supporting a high-visibility cyber data governance and data quality initiative. The role offers the opportunity to work directly with Collibra CDQ, cybersecurity datasets, data pipeline validation, and enterprise data governance practices in a regulated financial services environment. Interviews are expected to include 2-3 rounds, with both video and in-person participation required.

How You Will Make An Impact
  • Define, test, and validate data quality rules within Collibra CDQ for cybersecurity and information security datasets.
  • Support end-to-end ETL and data pipeline testing to ensure data is accurate, complete, and traceable across source-to-target workflows.
  • Partner with data owners, data stewards, developers, governance leads, and analysts to identify Key Data Elements and critical data quality needs.
  • Use advanced SQL to validate large datasets, perform joins and aggregations, reconcile data, troubleshoot discrepancies, and confirm pipeline results.
  • Build and execute detailed test plans, test cases, test scripts, QA activities, and UAT validation for data quality and pipeline outcomes.
  • Work with Python, pandas, PySpark, and Spark SQL to support data validation, automation, reconciliation, and large-scale data testing.
  • Contribute to cyber data governance by supporting data lineage, rule coverage, validation logic, and quality monitoring across security-related platforms.
  • Help ensure cybersecurity data such as phishing, threat, vulnerability, and risk-related data is processed, tested, and governed effectively.
  • Collaborate across technology, data governance, cybersecurity, and business teams to strengthen trust in enterprise security data.

Do you bring proven success in Collibra CDQ, cyber data quality, and ETL testing?
  • 10+ years of experience in data quality, data analysis, ETL testing, data governance, data validation, or enterprise data management.
  • Hands-on experience with Collibra CDQ; Collibra DIP experience is strongly preferred.

  • Hands-on ETL automation testing experience, including end-to-end validation of data pipelines.
  • Advanced SQL skills, including joins, aggregations, reconciliations, large dataset validation, and troubleshooting.

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity-related datasets such as phishing, threat, vulnerability, security risk, or information security data.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, Key Data Elements, data lineage, data owners, and data stewards.
  • Experience creating and executing test plans, test cases, test scripts, QA validation, and UAT activities.
  • Postman experience is preferred, especially for API or data validation testing.
  • Manual testing concepts are a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with developers, data owners, governance teams, business analysts, and cybersecurity stakeholders.
