An enterprise financial services organization in Virginia is seeking a Software Packaging Engineer in Vienna to join their team. This hybrid role supports software packaging, testing, and deployment efforts for enterprise Windows applications within a modern application delivery environment.
About the Opportunity:
Responsibilities:
Package, repackage, and deploy enterprise Windows applications for production use
Test and validate applications for functionality, compatibility, and performance
Support application deployment and lifecycle management across enterprise environments
Troubleshoot packaging, installation, and compatibility issues and help identify root causes
Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts, documentation, and packaging standards
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in software packaging engineering or a related application engineering role
Experience packaging and deploying enterprise software in Windows environments
Strong knowledge of MSI packaging, application repackaging, and software deployment technologies
Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM)
Proficiency with PowerShell scripting and application automation
Experience troubleshooting application installation, compatibility, and deployment issues
Excellent communication and technical documentation skills
Desired Skills:
Hands-on experience with Liquidware FlexApp and application layering workflows
Experience supporting virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) environments
Experience with application virtualization or other application packaging tools such as InstallShield
Familiarity with enterprise software delivery modernization initiatives
