We are seeking an experienced
Data QA Engineer Principal to support data migrations, validation efforts, and analytics initiatives across SQL Server, Dynamics 365, Dataverse, and cloud platforms. This role ensures data accuracy, integrity, and quality during enterprise transformations.
MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACTAs a
Data QA Engineer Principal, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our customers. You will play a crucial role in:
- Perform data quality validation, reconciliation, and source-to-target verification to ensure accuracy and completeness during system deployments, cutovers, and data migrations
- Analyze data outputs and reports using queries and validation techniques to confirm alignment with business rules and functional requirements
- Investigate data discrepancies, perform root cause analysis, and clearly document findings while partnering with technical teams to drive resolution
- Define, execute, and continuously improve data quality checks, validation criteria, and acceptance standards across applications and integrations
- Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to monitor data integrity, trends, and key performance indicators for leadership and stakeholders
- Validate data exchanges and integrations, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and compliance with data governance and security requirements
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, functional leads, QA, and engineering teams to strengthen data quality processes, testing coverage, and deployment readiness
- Developing and executing complex SQL queries
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEEDBring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The
Data QA Engineer Principal must have:
Education: MA/MS (or equivalent experience)
Experience: 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, and/or Data Quality
Required Skills:- Hands-on experience with SQL, ETL/SSIS and data migration processes
- Strong experience with Azure, Dataverse, Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and on-prem data gateways
- Experience with data modeling, data pipelines, and cloud data platforms (Azure)
- Ability to apply role-based security to Power Apps applications
- Understanding of on-prem Gateway and Cloud data exchange
- Experience developing Power BI dashboards for QA and operational reporting
Required Certification:- Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203). Other Azure and/or SQL certification(s) may be considered in lieu.
Security Clearance Level: Must be able to pass a background check and maintain a position of public trust with federal client(s)

The likely salary range for this position is $114,750 - $155,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
