Role: Technical Lead / Technical Architect (Need local candidates)

Location: San Francisco, CA- Hybrid 3 days onsite per week

Role Overview
We are seeking a senior Technical Lead / Technical Architect to provide hands-on leadership for a high-visibility initiative impacting customer-facing Web and Mobile platforms. This role goes beyond coding, you will lead end-to-end execution, understand the business why behind the technology, and drive architectural and implementation decisions in a fast-paced environment.

This individual will work closely with Engineering Leadership, Architecture, and Product stakeholders to refresh and enhance customer-facing experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead multiple projects end-to-end, from planning and design through execution and delivery
• Serve as the technical owner for refreshing customer-facing platforms
• Work closely with the Director and Architect to drive strategy, execution, and delivery
• Assemble requirements, evaluate impact, and rapidly implement changes across Web and Mobile platforms
• Read, analyze, and modify existing codebases with a deep understanding of how systems work together
• Lead heavily on the Front End, while maintaining strong conceptual understanding of APIs and backend interactions
• Ensure consistency across:
• Web applications
• Mobile applications
• Domain configuration and routing
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and clear direction to the broader team
• Communicate clearly and effectively in a fast-paced, aggressive timeline

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Proven experience leading multiple projects end-to-end
• Senior-level background as a Technical Lead, Architect, Staff, or Principal Engineer
• Deep expertise in:
• Web UIs (React)
• Mobile UIs (React Native)
• Strong conceptual understanding of:
• APIs and service interactions
• How modern web applications function end to end
• Ability to quickly understand domains, platforms, and system interactions
• Experience working in Fintech, Financial Services, and/or SaaS environments
• Strong communication skills, polished, articulate, and confident working with leadership
• Comfortable balancing hands-on coding with technical leadership

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading or supporting rebranding initiatives
• Background working on customer-facing, high-traffic platforms
• Prior experience operating in high-urgency, competitive environments
• Ability to translate business goals into technical execution.
