What does a successful Senior Implementation Programmer do at Bank?
The Account Processing Implementations Group within Bank is responsible for converting core systems from a financial institution to Bank s DNA platform, a real-time account processing platform. The DNA platform helps financial institutions operate more efficiently, capture complete customer relationships, and adapt to changing business needs.
As a Senior Data Implementation Programmer, you will provide support to banks and credit unions by building data requirements for moving source data from donor systems into the DNA platform. This is a client facing role where you will be a self-starter and have a natural curiosity to learn. You will take on challenges, be a problem solver and drive forward innovations and solutions for clients through data.
What you will do:
- Work closely with clients, their internal project team, and internal stakeholders to ensure the on-time delivery and quality implementation of their suite of products, while providing best-in-class solutions and service.
- Utilize SQL and other programming tools to code stored procedures, map business logic, perform quality assurance testing, generate reports, and conduct data analysis to ensure accuracy of data and DNA functionality.
- Validate programming results against requirements and donor data.
- Analyze and interpret data, as well as lead discussions on business and technical topics.
- Manage multiple tasks and projects with minimal supervision and meet project deadlines.
- Coach both associates and clients through technical issues and long-term projects.
- Travel up to 30%; weekends and holiday work as necessary
What you will need to have:
- Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
- 6+ years of hands-on, financial industry experience in conversion programming or software development for information technology, loan servicing, deposit operations, or EDW.
- Experience working with Oracle databases and/or relational databases in an implementation environment.
- Proficient with SQL or other programming languages.
- Understanding of programming standards, software development tools, optimization techniques, and technical specification experience
- Knowledge of banking, including deposit operations, retirements, consumer demographics, financial reporting, banking regulations, and PII policies
- Strong critical thinking, technical aptitude, and initiative
