Application Programmer

Genesis10 is currently seeking an AI Engineer - Hybrid for a 12+ month contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Jersey City, NJ, Kennesaw, GA and Plano, TX.

This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Java and Python applications. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various teams to define requirements, establish best practices, and provide technical analysis for production issues. The position has a strong focus on utilizing AI technologies, including LLMs, to deliver business value.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain high-quality Java and Python applications
• Collaborate with teams in other departments to identify and prioritize requirements
• Develop best practices and participate in code reviews with the team and other stakeholders
• Conduct technical analysis to arrive at solutions and create technological artefacts in response to production issues

Requirements:

• 10+ years of demonstrable experience in Python development
• Strong knowledge of Python languages and web API development frameworks like Spring and REST APIs
• Working knowledge of database technologies (Redis and Oracle)
• Experience with Linux OS and Windows
• Demonstrable expertise in various technical areas, including programming, network administration, and software installation and configuration
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with organizational capabilities
• Experience with IT project management methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum
• Familiarity with AI technologies (RAG and LLMs are a big plus)
• Understanding of Model development with Generative AI such as GPT, Llamaindex, langchain, etc.

Desired skills:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field
• Experience with Java development
• Experience developing web applications using front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript)
• Knowledge of Vector databases
• Experience with Microsoft copilot, AI foundry, copilot studio, and Azure
• Openshift container platform experience
• Relevant certifications such as Java Certified Professional (OCP)
• Knowledge of Nvidia Triton servers for LLMs
• Familiarity with CI/CD DevOps practices and tools (Git, Jenkins, and Docker)

Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
