About the Role
We are partnering with a mission-driven, nonprofit healthcare organization dedicated to advancing life-saving cell and marrow transplantation to identify an experienced Manager, Electronic Quality Management System (eQMS). Operating in a highly regulated life sciences environment, our client relies on a robust, compliant, and scalable quality infrastructure to support critical patient outcomes.
In this role, you will lead the team and daily operations that support the enterprise electronic Quality Management System (eQMS). You will provide operational leadership, people leadership, and subject matter expertise to ensure the QMS platform and related processes are optimized, effective, compliant, auditable, scalable, appropriately automated, and aligned with organizational objectives. This is a highly collaborative, cross-functional leadership position ideal for someone who can translate regulatory and technical complexity into practical, business-focused execution.

Job Description
The Manager, eQMS leads staff responsible for QMS administration, eQMS support, system enhancements, validation support, quality system monitoring, reporting, and continuous improvement. Partnering closely with Quality, Regulatory, IT, Product, and business leaders, you will prioritize eQMS work, support compliant system changes, resolve quality system issues, and strengthen the organization''s use of the QMS platform. You will be accountable for building team capability, managing workload and resources, supporting employee performance and development, and promoting a culture of quality, accountability, service, continuous improvement, and regulatory awareness.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team responsible for QMS operations, system support, quality assurance, validation coordination, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Manage competing priorities, team workload, stakeholder expectations, compliance risks, and system support needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Translate technical, regulatory, and quality concepts into practical business guidance and actionable team execution plans.
  • Build strong relationships and collaborate effectively across Quality, Regulatory, IT, Product, Operations, and other business functions.
  • Facilitate cross-functional decisions and resolve issues involving competing priorities, technical complexity, and regulatory considerations.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with direct reports, peers, technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership audiences.
  • Apply sound judgment, risk-based thinking, and quality system expertise to guide compliant and practical decision-making.
  • Ensure the eQMS platform and related processes remain optimized, compliant, auditable, scalable, and appropriately automated.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, quality, collaboration, continuous improvement, and regulatory awareness.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor''s degree in a scientific, quality, technical, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Progressive experience within a Quality Management System (QMS) environment, including hands-on work with an electronic QMS (eQMS) platform.
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience, including leading, coaching, and developing a team.
  • Working knowledge of quality system processes such as document control, change control, CAPA, audits, validation support, and quality system monitoring and reporting.
  • Understanding of applicable regulatory and compliance requirements within a regulated industry (e.g., FDA, ISO, or comparable frameworks).
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, workload, and stakeholder expectations in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to partner effectively across Quality, Regulatory, IT, Product, and business teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical and regulatory concepts for varied audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience administering or supporting an enterprise eQMS platform (e.g., configuration, enhancements, and system optimization).
  • Experience in healthcare, biotech, pharmaceutical, medical device, or other life sciences settings.
  • Experience supporting system validation and compliant system changes.
  • Familiarity with process automation and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Relevant quality certifications (e.g., ASQ CQA, CQM/OE, or similar).
