job summary:
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our team supporting a major digital banking initiative. In this role, you will design, optimize, and maintain enterprise data architectures and data pipelines that power modern financial services. You will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure data quality, streamline ETL processes, and drive high-impact data integration solutions.

responsibilities:
- Design and build scalable data solutions, pipelines, and architecture to handle complex financial data workflows.
- Develop, test, and optimize application code (Java) and database systems (Oracle) for high performance and reliability.
- Perform extract, transform, and load (ETL) operations to migrate and manage data across systems.
- Collaborate with technical leadership to identify system bottlenecks, enhance data accuracy, and streamline operations.
qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
5+ years of hands-on experience with Java application development.
5+ years of experience with Oracle database engineering and development.
5+ years of background in Data Engineering, including core ETL and pipeline creation.
Proven background working within the Banking / Financial Services domain.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of Digital Banking platforms and financial data models.
Experience or familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Anthropic Claude Code.
Excellent technical communication and cross-team collaboration skills.
