The Cloud Services organization within Schwab Technology Services (STS) empowers Schwab's development teams with an easy to use, self-service catalog of operationalized, secure cloud products meeting Schwab's regulatory requirements that exceed Client expectations. The organization's mission is to operationalize Schwab's cloud capabilities to enable the scalable and secure migration of Enterprise applications to our multi-cloud infrastructure.
The Cloud Networking Engineer will have the opportunity to help shape the next generation Cloud solutions for Charles Schwab & Co. The ideal candidate will have experience in large scale cloud service design and implementation to protect virtualized workloads. They will serve as a subject matter expert for cloud networking. They will partner with application teams, security, and operations to design and support robust cloud networking solutions that meet business requirements. This will be hands-on design, engineering and support of Schwab's architecture applied to our initiatives. This role is for someone who sees themselves as a cloud practitioner with technology domain expertise.
You will be working with best of breed technologists and SMEs across Cloud Architecture, Cloud Security, Cloud SRE and Cloud Engineering to bring a high level of energy, focus and fresh ideas that support our mission to provide value by seeing the world "Through Clients' Eyes."
What you have
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 3+ years of technical experience with cloud support in Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Provider (Google Cloud Platform).
Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts: CIDR, NAT, DNS, load balancing, hybrid connectivity, and multi-cloud architectures.
Experience building, implementing, and managing cloud network architectures (VPCs, subnets, routing, peering, hybrid connectivity, VPNs, Direct Connect, Interconnect, etc.) related constructs in either AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
Coding experience with Terraform, Ansible, Salt or similar automation tools as all provisioning includes Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Work experience with DevOps tool suites; examples include Git, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Jenkins, Concourse etc.
Experience with operational processes to ensure high availability and service of entire technology stack
Experience troubleshooting with log aggregators like Splunk/CloudWatch/Cloud Monitoring.
Experience with supporting mission critical, 24x7 systems
Troubleshooting skills in cloud and hybrid cloud to data center service deployments
Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security, related degree OR related practical experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum, experience adopting or leading continuous integration and continuous delivery concepts and frameworks
Experience with supporting mission critical, 24x7 systems
Cloud Provider Certification is a plus
Experience in the Financial Services industry is a plus.
