Client: State of Michigan

Duration: 12+ Months

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Architect to lead Teradata-based data warehousing efforts. The role focuses on database design, tooling, backup/recovery, performance tuning, and ETL processes in a hybrid work environment. Strong communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams are essential. Onsite presence is required two days per week with flexibility for scheduling.

5 Key Responsibilities (summary):

Design and optimize Teradata database architectures and data models
Manage Teradata Tools and Utilities (TTU) for development and operations
Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
Tune performance and optimize resource usage for large-scale data workloads
Lead ETL processes and ensure data quality, lineage, and governance

Technical Skills (top must-have):

Teradata database
Teradata Tools and Utilities (TTU)
Teradata backup & recovery
Performance tuning and resource optimization
Extract Transform Load (ETL)
