SAP PP/QM Functional Consultant

Job Title: SAP PP/QM Functional Consultant
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 Months

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced SAP PP/QM Consultant with strong functional and configuration expertise to support implementation, enhancement, and support projects.

Must Have Skills & Experience

• 6–8 years of hands-on experience in SAP PP (Production Planning) and QM (Quality Management) modules
• 2–3 years of functional domain experience
• Experience in SAP implementation and/or maintenance projects (version 4.7 and above; ECC 6 is a plus)

QM Functional Expertise

• QM in procurement (source inspection, vendor evaluation, vendor selection)
• QM in logistics (incoming, in-process, outgoing inspections)
• Certificate of Analysis
• Quality control processes
• Notifications, test equipment, SPC (Statistical Process Control)
• Auditing and batch management

PP Functional Expertise

• Strong understanding of Production Planning processes
• Ability to plan and execute SAP PP-related implementation, development, and support activities

Core Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze business requirements; provide functional solutions and system configurations
• Configure SAP QM module and ensure delivery aligned with defined standards
• Integrate QM with modules such as PP, WM, PM, and external systems (e.g., LIMS)
• Create functional specifications, process flows, and documentation (PDD/BDD, BPP)
• Develop and deliver client presentations and workshop materials
• Support full lifecycle implementation activities including:
  • Unit Testing, Cycle Testing, Integration Testing
  • Test script preparation and execution
  • User manual/documentation preparation
  • Post-go-live support
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Provide regular status updates and participate in project calls
• Maintain strong communication and working relationships with stakeholders

Additional Skills

• Experience with ASAP or other structured SAP implementation methodologies
• Familiarity with:
  • Document Management System (DMS)
  • Engineering Change Management (ECM)
• Strong communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills

Nice to Have

• SAP Certification in QM/PLM
• Experience with Solution Manager
• Integration experience with modules like MM, WM, SD, PM, and PP

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (BE) or MCA
