Job Summary:
CMS Energy is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, maintain, and support scalable full-stack applications for the Work and Material Management (WAMM) team within the Applications & Analytics organization.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable enterprise applications.
- Build and maintain .NET 5.0+ backend services.
- Develop modern frontend applications using Angular or React/Next.js.
- Develop and troubleshoot cloud-first solutions using Azure.
- Resolve production issues and maintain system reliability.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and business stakeholders.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers.
- Participate in Agile delivery, paired programming, TDD, and incremental design.
- Support SAP PO/BTP integrations.
- Assist with networking documentation, firewalls, IA diagrams, and flow mapping.
Required Skills:
- 4+ years of experience with .NET 5.0+.
- 4+ years of experience with Angular or React/Next.js.
- Strong cloud development and troubleshooting experience.
- Full-stack development and production support experience.
- Test Driven Development (TDD).
- Paired programming experience.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to mentor and upskill team members.
Preferred Skills:
- Agile / XP practices.
- Incremental design.
- CI/CD pipelines.
- SAP PO / SAP BTP.
- .NET Framework 4.x.
- PowerApps.
- Azure VM maintenance.

Education:
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field required.
- Master s/advanced degree preferred.
