Job Description:

About this role:

  • The Human Resources Information Technology (HRIT) team provides technology support for team member focused applications and processes.
  • We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to support Workday Engineering functions for our Compensation product team, to deliver advanced compensation solutions.
  • This engineer will work on critical US and global Compensation technical projects that deliver year end cycle solutions to product working in an Agile environment.
In this role, candidates will:
  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
  • Support the planning and sizing of development items for sprint planning
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
  • Develop, configure, and maintain integrations for assigned product(s) in Workday
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
Required Qualifications: (If they have these skills they will be strongly considered)
2 plus years in the following:
  • Workday development experience in the advanced compensation functional area
  • Workday development experience, including integrations - EIB's, Core Connectors, Studio, Reporting - Report Writer, Advanced Reporting
Desired Qualifications:
  • Workday or other HR systems Compensation experience
  • Experience with SAS or SQL, or other data management, reporting and query tools
  • Experience/Knowledge in Adaptive Workforce Planning, Modeling, Sheets, Reports and Dashboards
  • Knowledge of Adaptive security, permission sets, user groups, access rules
  • Experience in setting up integration between HCM and Adaptive, User sync and SSO
  • Leadership skills including the ability to influence effectively in a matrix environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of Agile
  • Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability
  • Ability to shift priorities as work-flow/volume dictates
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audience
  • Client software engineering experience
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in information technology
  • Workday Extend development experience
Job Expectations:
  • Position must be located in a listed location on the Job requisition
  • Minimum 3 days/week in office requirement
In this contingent resource assignment, candidates may:
  • Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering.
  • Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors.
  • Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables.
  • Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.
Required Qualifications:
  • 5 plus years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
Note:
Important:
  • This position will require comp experience to build solutions; they need to have advanced comp experience and tie together to solve a problem.
  • For requirement 232220 the need is for workday extend technical expert to build out a proven solution.
  • For this role will require someone to utilize their workday advanced comp experience and skillset to develop technical solutions for a problem statement.
  • Client does still require technical experience in Workday studio and BIRT reporting for this role
  • Location: Minneapolis, MN or Charlotte, NC (CIC), 3 days a week in office required
  • Duration: to end of 2026, with potential to extend

  • Rate: Utilize max bill rate


Pay Range: $XXX - $XXX
