Position Summary Citadel Security USA is seeking a Full-Time Armed Security Officer for a critical site assignment in Dillon, Colorado. This position involves a combination of access control, mobile patrol operations, and routine property monitoring to help maintain a secure environment throughout the shift.
The role is ideal for someone who remains attentive during long hours, follows established procedures carefully, and can transition between patrol and stationary duties while maintaining a professional presence.
Key Responsibilities - Monitor entry points and verify credentials before allowing site access
- Conduct vehicle patrols throughout designated areas of the property
- Perform foot patrols to inspect buildings, gates, and surrounding areas
- Observe and report suspicious behavior, safety concerns, or policy violations
- Maintain a visible armed presence to support site security operations
- Respond to incidents, alarms, or emergencies following post procedures
- Complete accurate activity logs and incident documentation
- Maintain communication with supervisors, dispatches, and on-site personnel
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and post instructions
Minimum Qualifications - Must meet Colorado requirements for armed security personnel
- Valid driver's license required
- Personal firearm required and must be carried out in accordance with state law and company policy
- Strong communication and situational awareness skills
- Ability to work scheduled 12-hour daytime shifts consistently
- Dependable attendance and professional demeanor
Preferred Qualifications - Current armed certifications or related qualifications
- Previous experience in armed patrol, gate security, or access control
- Familiarity with high-security locations or critical infrastructure environments
Work Environment - Combination of gatehouse assignments, mobile patrol, and walking patrols
- Indoor and outdoor responsibilities depending on operational needs
- Extended periods of standing, walking, and driving may be required
- Day shift position requiring continuous awareness and attention to detail
