Position: Senior Data Architect – Data Platform (Media / Data Mesh)
Location: SCV, Culver City, CA- Onsite

Role
Design and lead a modern data platform for complex, cross-domain media data (content, rights, metadata). Focus on data correctness, lineage, MDM, and domain ownership—not just scale.
What You’ll Do
Architect a domain-driven data platform (Data Mesh principles)
Design for complex, hierarchical & time-bound data (content, rights, availability windows)
Define data products, contracts, SLAs, and ownership
Implement data lineage & provenance for auditability and traceability
Build MDM strategy (golden records, entity resolution)
Enable flexible data storage using Apache Iceberg (schema evolution, time travel)
Partner with engineering, product, and business teams
What You Bring
10+ years in data architecture / engineering
Strong experience with complex data modeling (hierarchical + temporal data)
Hands-on with data lineage, metadata, and governance
Experience with MDM / reference data systems
Familiarity with Data Mesh concepts
Experience with modern data stack (e.g., Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, cloud platforms)
Nice to Have
Media / content / rights domain experience (or similar complexity domains)
Experience with metadata/lineage tools like DataHub or OpenLineage
