Summary

As a Senior Microsoft Power Platform Engineer supporting a premier Randstad client in Washington, DC, you will serve as the technical backbone for a high-visibility enterprise ecosystem. You will move beyond simple app development to oversee the structural integrity, security, and scalability of the entire platform. This role requires a strategic technologist who can manage complex environment strategies—bridging the gap between development and production—while enforcing rigorous governance and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies. You will be responsible for stabilizing existing automations, integrating disparate enterprise data sources, and ensuring that the platform’s architectural "pipes" are secure, efficient, and operationally sound.

Key Responsibilities

  • Environment & ALM Strategy: Define and implement robust promotion paths and environment strategies, ensuring seamless transitions from development to production.
  • Platform Governance: Design and enforce connector governance and DLP policies to maintain a secure and compliant low-code ecosystem.
  • System Architecture: Configure complex security models, access controls, and identity integrations to protect sensitive enterprise data.
  • Stabilization & Support: Act as the Tier 3 technical lead to debug, optimize, and stabilize existing Power Platform applications and high-impact automations.
  • Data Integration: Architect and manage integrations between the Power Platform and diverse enterprise data sources, ensuring high performance and data integrity.
  • Platform Monitoring: Maintain a strong operational mindset by proactively monitoring system health, gateway usage, and workspace security.

Qualifications

  • Power Platform Mastery: Deep, hands-on expertise across the full suite: Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Pages.
  • Advanced Power BI Skills: Proven experience managing datasets, workspaces, and complex gateway configurations at an enterprise level.
  • Security Expertise: Strong command of Microsoft 365 security protocols, including tenant-level settings and identity management.
  • Operational Excellence: Demonstrated ability to own the lifecycle of an application, from initial deployment to long-term maintenance and supportability.
  • Strategic Thinking: Experience advising stakeholders on "Dev vs. Prod" best practices and the long-term impacts of platform configuration choices.
  • Local Context: Ability to work on-site or in a hybrid capacity for a client in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
