What does a successful Senior Java Software Development Engineer do at Fiserv? A successful Senior Java Software Development Engineer designs, develops, and maintains high-quality software applications that support business goals and client needs. They partner with cross-functional teams to turn requirements into clear technical specifications and delivered solutions. They raise engineering standards through reliable coding practices, continuous improvement, and technical leadership across the team.
What you will do? - Lead the design, development, and implementation of software applications to support business goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Perform coding, testing, and debugging to ensure application performance and reliability.
- Maintain and improve existing codebases and lead peer review processes.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to strengthen team capabilities.
What you must have? - 6+ years of software development experience.
- 3+ years of experience in Java, C, C#, C++, or similar programming languages.
- 3+ years of experience with SQL databases.
- 3+ years of experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
What would be nice to have? - 3+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- 3+ years of experience working in Agile methodologies.
- 1+ years of experience in the financial services industry.
Salary Range $160,000.00 - $240,000.00
These pay ranges apply to employees in Sunnyvale, California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
