Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced
SAP S/4HANA Finance / Record-to-Report (R2R) Lead to lead end-to-end finance process design and transformation within a complex SAP S/4HANA environment.
This individual will serve as a senior functional and process leader across
Financial Accounting and Management Accounting, partnering with finance executives, business stakeholders, technical teams, and other functional workstreams to design and implement scalable S/4HANA solutions.
The ideal candidate combines deep SAP Finance expertise with a strong understanding of enterprise financial processes and the executive presence to lead C-level discussions, challenge existing processes, and drive critical decisions to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of end-to-end Record-to-Report (R2R) processes within SAP S/4HANA.
- Provide functional leadership across Financial Accounting (FI), including:
- General Ledger (GL)
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Asset Accounting (AA)
- Tax
- Intercompany Accounting
- Journal Entries
- Period-end and financial close
- Lead Management Accounting / Controlling (CO) processes, including:
- Cost Center Accounting
- Profit Center Accounting
- Internal Orders
- Profitability Analysis
- Management reporting and allocations
- Serve as a subject-matter expert for S/4HANA finance capabilities, including:
- Universal Journal (ACDOCA)
- S/4HANA Asset Accounting
- Fiori finance applications
- Profitability Analysis (CO-PA)
- Financial Closing Cockpit
- SAP Advanced Financial Closing (AFC)
- Lead finance process workshops, requirements gathering, fit-to-standard analysis, solution design, configuration strategy, testing, deployment, and stabilization.
- Identify opportunities to simplify and standardize legacy finance processes using native S/4HANA functionality.
- Partner with other SAP workstreams, including Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sales, and Master Data, to manage cross-functional finance dependencies.
- Lead discussions with CFO-level and C-suite stakeholders, translating complex SAP functionality into business outcomes and actionable decisions.
- Drive alignment across functional and technical teams and proactively resolve design, process, and delivery issues.
- Operate effectively in a startup-like, fast-paced environment where responsibilities may extend beyond traditional functional boundaries.
- Adapt quickly to evolving client requirements, priorities, and transformation objectives while maintaining delivery momentum.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive functional experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI/CO).
- Deep understanding of end-to-end Record-to-Report processes.
- Strong hands-on functional expertise across GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, tax, intercompany transactions, journal processing, and financial close.
- Strong Management Accounting experience across cost centers, profit centers, internal orders, allocations, and profitability analysis.
- Demonstrated S/4HANA expertise, particularly with Universal Journal, New Asset Accounting, Fiori applications, CO-PA, Financial Closing Cockpit, and/or Advanced Financial Closing.
- Experience leading finance workstreams within large-scale S/4HANA implementations or transformations.
- Ability to translate finance requirements into scalable SAP process and solution designs.
- Experience facilitating workshops and making recommendations to senior finance and technology stakeholders.
- Strong executive communication skills with the ability to confidently lead C-level client discussions.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Strong consultative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in an agile, high-growth environment with changing priorities and requirements.
