7195 - Senior Middleware System Administrator (IBM WebSphere / Integration Platforms) Must Reside in the St. Paul area to be Considered
An organization is seeking a Middleware / Integration System Administrator to support large-scale enterprise platforms and complex integration environments. This role is responsible for installing, configuring, deploying, and maintaining enterprise middleware systems while ensuring high availability, security, and performance across multiple applications and environments.
The successful candidate will work closely with technical teams to support enterprise integration platforms, troubleshoot system issues, implement security and infrastructure improvements, and maintain reliable middleware architecture supporting critical business systems.
This position requires strong experience with IBM middleware technologies, enterprise integration platforms, and Linux system administration, along with the ability to support complex distributed systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, deploy, and support IBM middleware products including:
- WebSphere Application Server Network Deploy
- IBM HTTP Server
- IBM Business Process Manager
- WebSphere Transformation Extender
- IBM MQSeries
- IBM Integration Bus
- IBM Collaborative Lifecycle Management
- Provide operational support and consultation for enterprise software systems and middleware platforms
- Implement and support highly available, recoverable, and secure system architectures
- Configure and support F5 load balancing technologies
- Develop and maintain automated deployment scripts using Jenkins and Ansible
- Support integrations between enterprise applications and Identity and Access Management (IAM) security platforms
- Troubleshoot system, middleware, server, and operating system issues
- Monitor system performance and ensure compliance with operational standards
- Deploy application and middleware updates in support of development, testing, and release cycles
- Apply required fix packs and patches to middleware and web server environments
- Maintain consistent architectural standards across multiple environments
- Provide technical documentation and architectural design documentation
- Support small to medium technical projects
- Provide knowledge transfer and documentation to internal teams
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience installing, maintaining, and operating Informatica ActiveVOS
- 5 years of experience installing, maintaining, and supporting IBM Business Process Manager (BPM) or related technologies such as:
- Business Automation Workflow (BAW)
- WebSphere Process Server (WPS)
- 5 years of experience installing and supporting IBM Integration Bus (IIB) or related technologies such as:
- IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE)
- WebSphere Message Broker
- 5 years of experience supporting healthcare program integration software, including:
- HHS Content
- HHS Notify
- HHS Audit
- 4 years of experience working with F5 Big-IP solutions for load balancing and web service security management
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 8 years of experience performing architecture, analysis, or implementation work involving:
- WebSphere Application Server Network Deploy topologies
- IBM messaging software
- IBM business process software
- IBM service bus technologies
- 7 years of experience with Linux system administration, operations, and scripting
- 6 years of experience working with IBM middleware environments integrated with Oracle Identity and Access Management solutions
- 6 years of experience working with IBM Curam
- 3 years of experience supporting IBM Collaborative Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools
