About This Role

We believe people should love what they do - in this role, you will be responsible for developing Automated Test Equipment (ATE) in a DoD / Aerospace Line of Business. Applicants should have a strong background in Electrical Engineering, and possess a demonstrated ability in designing, developing, integrating, and deploying Special Test Equipment (ATE / STE). Commercial Instrumentation interfaces, as well as data acquisition and control, communications, and custom cabling and fixtures will be the prime applications to be designed and automated in our ATE systems. High awareness and competency in the cohesion required between the multi-disciplinary functions (electrical / mechanical / software) required of a formal ATE team are required. Designing with Modularity and Commonality are top requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

  • Design and release to Manufacturing Operations and/or Engineering custom ATE Test Stations, Interface Adaptors, Cabling and Fixtures for testing CCAs, Modules, and Systems
  • Produce technical presentation packages for Design Reviews
  • Collaborate with ATE Software developers to ensure hardware / software cohesion throughout the Integration and Debug phases
  • Produce Test Procedures and Process Documents to support ATE deployment
  • Produce Schematics and Interface Diagrams for Release
  • Design Rack-Mounted systems with Modularity, Commonality, and Expandability as primary drivers
  • Integrate ATE with Units Under Test
  • Release drawings into Configuration Management
  • Derive, flow, and trace Requirements from Source to Test Report
  • Analyze equipment specifications and select appropriate instruments and suppliers
  • Support Contract Manufacturers with questions and Integration
  • Interface with product development teams to determine appropriate test strategy and coverage for functional requirements
  • Interface with Production teams to satisfy Manufacturing requirements

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years' experience developing formal ATE within the DoD / Aerospace industry
  • High competency in utilizing state-of-the-art conventional and PXI test instrumentation, as well as Mass Interconnect devices, while maintaining a modular, flexible and scalable ATE design approach
  • High Experience in the design of Control and Measurement systems for testing Analog, Digital, Power, and Communications circuitry
  • Experience in failure analysis and problem isolation with demonstrable troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with Configuration Management tools and Peer Review processes
  • Ability to effectively communicate and engage all levels of the organization verbally and in writing
  • Experience programming with C# programming is a plus
  • Experience as an IPT Lead or CAM, with EVMS exposure is a plus
  • An existing U.S. Secret Security Clearance is a plus. The ability to obtain one is required.

*This role is open at multiple levels. Candidates will be hired at a level consistent with their background and experience:

  • Level III: $115,800 - $176,200
  • Level IV: $146,500 - $224,500
