Role: Workforce Software (WFS) Consultant
Location: Hybrid (Candidates must report to the nearest office based on their location)
Duration: 6-12 months with multiple extensions
Rate: $48/hr on W2 (NO C2C)
Key Value of the Role
This role ensures that integrations involving Workforce Software are properly designed, scoped, and implemented, reducing operational risk and ensuring reliable data exchange between WFS and external enterprise systems.
The consultant provides the functional integration expertise required to define architecture and guide implementation while working alongside technical interface developers responsible for scripting and data extraction.
Responsibilities
Integration Architecture & Design
· Define end-to-end integration architecture between Workforce Software (WFS) and external systems such as HR platforms, payroll systems, and reporting platforms (e.g., SAP, Datasphere, Dayforce, Click, etc.).
· Analyze integration requirements and determine appropriate connectivity approaches (API, file-based interfaces, middleware, etc.).
· Clarify system responsibilities and data ownership between WFS and integrated systems.
· Provide guidance on the design and implementation of integrations impacting payroll, timekeeping, and workforce data.
Integration Planning & Scoping
· Assess integration requests and provide accurate scoping, effort estimates, and implementation approaches.
· Identify dependencies within WFS that may impact integration design (e.g., time calculation logic, scripts, reporting structures).
· Support project planning by identifying risks related to payroll calculations and operational processes.
Collaboration with Technical Interface Teams
· Work with WFS interface developers responsible for data import/export scripting.
· Translate functional integration requirements into technical specifications for interface development.
· Ensure alignment between integration architecture and technical interface implementation.
Implementation Oversight
· Provide oversight during the development and configuration of WFS integrations.
· Ensure integrations follow best practices for reliability, security, and maintainability.
· Support testing strategies including integration testing and payroll validation.
Risk Management
· Evaluate integration changes that may affect payroll calculations, timekeeping logic, or workforce data integrity.
· Ensure integrations are implemented using controlled and validated approaches rather than experimental configurations.
· Provide guidance to reduce operational risk prior to system go-live.
