Job Details

Responsibilities:

As a Site Work Estimator, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to:

1. Preparing detailed cost estimates for various construction projects, including site work and demolition.
2. Evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure they meet project specifications and scope.
3. Using estimating software, such as HCSS Heavybid, to create accurate and comprehensive bids.
4. Working closely with project managers and other team members in the preconstruction process, providing your expert advice and insights.
5. Attending pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project estimate reviews.
6. Continuously tracking and updating project costs, adjusting estimates as necessary.
7. Developing and maintaining relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
8. Assisting in the negotiation and awarding of contracts.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in construction estimating, specifically in site work and demolition.
2. Extensive knowledge and experience with preconstruction processes and bidding.
3. Proficiency in using HCSS Heavybid or similar estimating software.
4. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
6. A proactive approach, with the ability to anticipate potential issues and create effective solutions.
7. A strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and regulations.
8. The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
