Cardinal Glass Industries was established in 1962 as a fabricator of sealed insulating glass units in St. Louis Park, MN. Throughout the years, the company has grown and consists of a Mineral facility, Float Glass facilities, Tempered Glass facilities, Coated Glass facilities, Insulating Glass facilities, and Laminated Glass facilities. These facilities are located throughout the United States.
Production Technicians are responsible for operating production equipment, handling materials, and supporting manufacturing processes in a safe, efficient, and quality-focused manner. This position works as part of a team to produce glass products according to production schedules, quality standards, and customer requirements. Production Technicians are expected to maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement while contributing to the overall success of the manufacturing operation.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and support IT infrastructure, including desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment
- Respond to and resolve work orders, service tickets, and trouble calls in a timely and professional manner
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic network issues
- Set up, configure, and deploy new computers, devices, and user accounts
- Assist with installing operating systems, software updates, and security patches
- Document issues, resolutions, and procedures using ticketing or knowledge base systems
- Assist IT staff with ongoing projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and equipment refreshes
- Follow IT policies, procedures, and security best practices
- Provide basic user training and technical guidance as needed
Required Qualifications- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows and/ iOS), and common software applications
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior IT staff
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications- Familiarity with help desk or ticketing systems
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, or similar enterprise tools
- Prior customer service or technical support experience
