Guidewire BillingCenter Developer (Cloud Integration)

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Guidewire BillingCenter Developer with strong experience in cloud integrations. The ideal candidate will design, configure, and implement end to end billing workflows within the Guidewire ecosystem, while ensuring seamless integrations, data quality, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Configure and enhance BillingCenter modules: invoicing, payment plans, collections, write offs, adjustments, etc.
Develop business rules, scripts, and enhancements using Gosu and Java.
Build and maintain REST/SOAP integrations with external policy, claims, and financial systems.
Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL transformations.
Collaborate with cross functional teams on requirements, technical design, and architecture documentation.
Support production environments through issue resolution, performance tuning, and upgrade coordination.
Ensure alignment with regulatory frameworks like PCI DSS and NACHA.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, code reviews, and documentation.
Provide technical guidance to ensure scalable, maintainable solutions.

Required Qualifications

5 8+ years of hands-on experience with the Guidewire platform, primarily BillingCenter; PolicyCenter/ClaimCenter exposure is a plus.
Strong development experience with Gosu and Java.
Proficiency with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.) and strong SQL skills.
Proven experience in system integrations using REST/SOAP and working with XML/JSON.
Solid understanding of P&C insurance billing processes (payments, collections, reconciliation).
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across business and technical teams.
Ability to produce clear design diagrams, data flow maps, and integration documentation.

Preferred Skills

Guidewire BillingCenter certification.
Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform and microservices based architectures.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Maven/Gradle.
Hands-on experience in Agile, especially supporting distributed teams.
Background in payment processor integrations, open banking, or large-scale billing transformation initiatives.
Understanding of ETL pipelines and data analytics in a billing environment.
