Senior PL/SQL Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior PL/SQL Developer with 12+ years of IT experience and strong expertise in Oracle Database development, PL/SQL programming, performance tuning, and database design. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining complex database solutions that support critical business applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain complex PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into efficient database solutions.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries for high-volume transactional and reporting systems.
• Perform database performance tuning and query optimization.
• Design and implement data models, database schemas, and database objects.
• Develop ETL processes and data migration solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in production environments.
• Work closely with application developers, business analysts, and DBAs to support application development.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce database development standards and best practices.
• Support database deployments, releases, and change management activities.
• Create technical documentation, data flow diagrams, and database design documents.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience in Oracle Database Development.
• Strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL, SQL, and database programming.
• Extensive experience developing Packages, Procedures, Functions, Triggers, Cursors, and Collections.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle Database Architecture and Data Modeling.
• Experience with query optimization and performance tuning using Explain Plans, AWR, ASH, and SQL Trace.
• Experience in data migration, data conversion, and ETL development.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle 11g, 12c, 19c, or later versions.
• Strong understanding of indexing, partitioning, materialized views, and database security.
• Experience working with large-scale OLTP and Data Warehouse environments.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux shell scripting.
• Experience using version control systems such as Git, SVN, or Bitbucket.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Oracle Forms, Reports, or Oracle APEX.
• Knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts and ETL tools.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as OCI, AWS, or Azure.
• Exposure to Python, Java, or other programming languages.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Certifications

• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)
• Oracle Database Administration or Development Certifications
