Summary

Job Title - Manufacturing Engineer 5
Location -Pontiac, IL - On-Site
Duration: 12 months
Daily Schedule (including any anticipated weekly/monthly OT): 3rd Shift 12:00 AM 8:00 AM CST

Manufacturing Engineer with Minimum 10+ years of experience and a Bachelor s degree in Engineering to support fuel injector assembly production. The role focuses on process improvement, troubleshooting assembly equipment, and ensuring production quality and efficiency. Candidates should have experience with APQP elements (Process Flow, Control Plan, PFMEA) and be proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams. Responsibilities include analyzing production processes, improving assembly operations, investigating test failures, and collaborating with cross-functional teams including Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, and Operations.

Highly Preferred: Assembly and test manufacturing experience.

  • Degree requirement: Bachelor s degree

Position s Contributions to Work Group:

  • Providing technical expertise to aspects of production, cost, quality, and compliance to safety for the assembly of fuel injectors

Technical Skills (Required)

  • Ability to facilitate and create all APQP elements including Process Flow, Control Plan and Process Failure Modes and Effect Analysis (PFMEA)

  • Facilitate and host cross functional meetings in person and virtual
  • Manage priorities across multiple projects

Typical task breakdown:

  • Troubleshooting assembly equipment if needed
  • Assisting in process improvements for current assembly process
  • Understanding and walking back issues that occur due to first test pass failures
  • Creating and updating all APQP elements

Interaction with team:

  • Cross functional work with quality, manufacturing engineering, and operations

Team Structure

  • Work with 13 other Manufacturing engineers and test engineers on the team reporting up through tech service manager

Work environment:

  • Offices are located inside of factory work setting
