Job Title: Java Developer Automation Framework (Mobile Testing)
Job Description
We are seeking a Java Developer with a strong understanding of QA concepts and hands-on experience collaborating with QA and automation teams. The ideal candidate will initially focus on building a robust mobile automation framework and, over time, transition into a core Java development role.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks for mobile application testing
- Collaborate closely with QA teams to understand testing requirements and ensure code quality
- Understand and contribute to QA processes, test strategies, and defect management
- Work with automation testing tools and frameworks; quickly ramp up on Appium
- Design scalable, maintainable, and reusable automation solutions (pure-play framework development)
- Integrate automation frameworks with CI/CD pipelines
- Leverage AI-based tools and techniques to improve test coverage, execution, and efficiency
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization
- After successful delivery of the automation framework (within 3 6 months), transition into a core Java development role contributing to application development
Required Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Java
- Solid understanding of QA fundamentals, SDLC, and STLC
- Experience working with QA and automation teams
- Exposure to automation testing tools and frameworks
- Willingness and ability to learn Appium for mobile automation
- Experience in framework design and development
- Familiarity with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD tools
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
