Role Overview
|
|
Seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer SME to lead manufacturing process development, industrialization, production launch, and continuous improvement initiatives in high-volume manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in NPI, process engineering, DFM, factory layout design, automation, quality systems, and operational excellence, with the ability to scale manufacturing processes from concept through full-rate production.

Key Responsibilities
|
|
Lead NPI and manufacturing process development including process flow creation, line layout planning, workstation design, and production ramp-up.
|
|
Develop and optimize SOPs, work instructions, routings, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), and manufacturing documentation.
|
|
Drive DFM/DFA reviews, GD&T assessments, PFMEA, Control Plans, APQP/PPAP, and process validation activities.
|
|
Support deployment and commissioning of equipment, tooling, automation systems, fixtures, Poka-Yoke solutions, and safety controls.
|
|
Design and optimize PFEP, material flow strategies, packaging concepts, line-side delivery systems, and factory layouts.
|
|
Lead Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to improve OEE, throughput, cycle time, yield, and first-pass quality.
|
|
Partner closely with Product Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Facilities, Operations, Automation, and EHS teams.
|
|
Required Qualifications
|
|
Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering.
|
|
8+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience in industrialization, NPI, production launch, or process development.
|
|
Experience in large-scale discrete manufacturing environments such as:

|
|
Suppliers should prioritize candidates with a strong combination of Manufacturing Engineering, NPI, Process Development, DFM, GD&T, Factory Layout Planning, Equipment Commissioning, Material Flow Optimization, Quality Systems, and Tier-1 Automotive manufacturing experience, with proven capability to successfully launch and scale manufacturing operations while driving improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity.
