Summary
Location: REMOTE Role Levels
Level I Technical Support Engineer (3 5 years)
Level II Senior Technical Support Engineer (5 8 years)
Seeking Technical Support Engineers responsible for maintaining and supporting radiology image exchange platforms. This includes troubleshooting, system monitoring, resolving technical issues, and collaborating with PACS admins, radiologists, and healthcare IT teams to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesServe as first point of contact for clinicians and IT teams.
Troubleshoot radiology image exchange issues via phone and ticketing tools.
Support radiologists and clinical staff using image exchange systems.
Perform system maintenance, updates, and monitoring tasks.
Maintain teleradiology image transfer systems for optimal performance.
Collaborate with IT teams on system enhancements and upgrades.
Document incidents, resolutions, and recurring issues.
Train end users on workflows, system features, and best practices.
Ensure compliance with healthcare data security and regulatory standards.
Required SkillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in 24 7 or rotational shift support environments.
Understanding of radiology workflows.
Hands on experience with DICOM/HL7 standards.
Experience with PACS/RIS/EHR systems.
Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Splunk, Datadog, Prometheus, SolarWinds, etc.).
Familiarity with ITSM/ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Jira, Remedy).
Ability to assess alerts, determine severity, and escalate appropriately.
Familiarity with Linux/Unix and Windows server environments.
Working knowledge of teleradiology and image exchange platforms.
Exposure to SQL fundamentals (DML, RDBMS concepts).
Proven technical support or production support experience in healthcare or teleradiology.
Strong troubleshooting skills across phone and digital channels.
Soft SkillsStrong coordination and communication abilities.
Analytical thinking to identify root causes and patterns.
Attention to detail and adherence to SOPs.
Team collaboration and ability to operate under pressure.
Working ConditionsFlexibility to work in US business hours within a 24 7 support model.
Ability to work rotational shifts and adjust weekly offs accordingly.
