Job description

One of our clients is seeking a Cloud / AWS Engineer to design, build, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and hybrid environments. The role supports enterprise applications, payments platforms, and digital banking systems with strong focus on automation, reliability, and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud-native solutions on AWS (and sometimes Azure/Google Cloud Platform)
• Build and manage scalable infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) like Terraform and Ansible
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments
• Deploy and operate services on Kubernetes / OpenShift / EKS
• Manage core AWS services such as:
• EC2, S3, RDS
• IAM, VPC, Lambda
• CloudWatch, CloudTrail
• Kafka / MSK, OpenSearch
• Ensure high availability, performance, and disaster recovery
• Implement security best practices (network security, encryption, IAM policies)
• Monitor systems, logs, alerts, and production issues
• Participate in incident management and root cause analysis (RCA)
• Collaborate with product, security, and application engineering teams
• Optimize cloud cost and performance
• Contribute to architecture design and technical discussions

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years in cloud engineering / DevOps / platform engineering
• Strong experience with AWS services
• Programming experience in one or more:
  • Java / Python / Go / Scala
• Hands-on experience with:
• Terraform / CloudFormation / Ansible
• Docker & Kubernetes
• CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD)
• Experience of:
  • Microservices architecture
  • API integration patterns
  • Distributed systems
• Experience with logging/monitoring tools (Splunk, Datadog, CloudWatch)
• Experience with multi-cloud experience (AWS + Azure / Google Cloud Platform)
• Financial services / banking domain experience
• Kafka, Redis, Couchbase, NoSQL databases
• Security certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, CKAD, etc.)
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering
