As a member of the Cortex Cloud Engineering team, you'll contribute to our mission to become the #1 CNAPP solution, strengthening our position as the most complete and advanced cybersecurity platform. Key Responsibilities
Collaborate and execute alongside experienced engineers to design, develop, and maintain backend services and infrastructure.
Write high-quality, maintainable code in Python, Java, or Go that meaningfully improves our products and services.
Contribute to disrupting the cybersecurity industry by applying the latest and greatest technologies to solve complex problems.
Proactively collaborate and exchange information with other engineers, researchers, and Product Managers to accomplish shared objectives.
Learn about the cybersecurity industry from the world's leading security experts to inform your work and challenge the status quo.
Participate in code reviews to ensure alignment, maintain high code quality standards, and empower others through constructive feedback.
Assist in testing and debugging to ensure the reliability and performance of our systems.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree earned between December 2025 and May/June 2026 in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar technical field.
Strong programming skills and experience in at least one of the following languages: Python, Java, or Go.
Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and operating systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous internship or project experience in backend development or a related area.
Demonstrated interest in cybersecurity through projects, coursework, or extracurricular activities.
Exemplifies strong initiative and the ability to work independently with limited direction.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.
Compensation Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be the annual range listed below. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
