Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Snowflake Data Architect with approximately 10 years of total IT experience to join our data and analytics team. The ideal candidate will be an expert in designing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure data solutions using Snowflake. You will play a critical role in building our analytics platform, transforming data from various sources into actionable insights. You will work extensively with Snowflake, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and PowerBI to deliver high-quality reporting and analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data models and data warehousing solutions in Snowflake.
Architect and implement ETL/ELT processes to ingest data from various sources, with a focus on SAP systems (S4HANA, SAP BW) using Azure Data Factory.
Ensure data security by designing and implementing object-level Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) policies, row level security, and data sharing strategies.
Monitor and optimize Snowflake resource utilization and performance to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
Apply data warehousing best practices and concepts such as star schema, facts, dimensions, slowly changing dimensions (SCDs), and medallion architecture.
Develop and optimize reports and dashboards in PowerBI to meet business requirements.
Conduct performance tuning of Snowflake data models and PowerBI reports to ensure fast and reliable analytics.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to understand requirements and deliver effective data solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Around 10+years of total IT experience, with a significant portion spent in data warehousing, business intelligence, or analytics roles.
Proven, hands-on experience as a Snowflake Architect, with deep knowledge of its ecosystem.
Design, configure, and optimize Snowflake data structures, models, and warehouse performance to support analytic and AIdriven workloads
Strong programming skills in Python (Snowpark experience preferred)
Knowledge of Snowflake features such as Cortex, Snowpark, Streams, Tasks, AISQL, or naturallanguage data interfaces
Strong proficiency in creating data models, implementing security (RBAC), managing data sharing, and optimizing resource utilization within Snowflake.
Expertise in data warehousing concepts, including star schema, medallion architecture, dimensions, and facts.
Proficiency with PowerBI for data visualization and reporting.
Experience with one or more ETL/ELT tools.
Preferred Skills:
Direct experience using Azure Data Factory (ADF) to extract data from SAP systems (S4HANA, SAP BW).
An analytics background with SAP technologies (e.g., ABAP CDS views, SAP BW).
Demonstrated experience in performance tuning of both Snowflake data models and PowerBI reports.
