Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Backup & Storage Engineer to manage, support, and troubleshoot enterprise backup, recovery, and storage environments. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in IBM Storage Protect (TSM/Spectrum Protect), Rubrik, Commvault, cyber recovery solutions, backup performance tuning, and disaster recovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support IBM Storage Protect (TSM/Spectrum Protect) environments.
- Manage enterprise backup and recovery platforms including Rubrik/Cohesity and Commvault.
- Troubleshoot backup failures, restore issues, and performance bottlenecks.
- Optimize database backups using Oracle RMAN, SQL Server, and related technologies.
- Perform client upgrades, migrations, storage lifecycle management, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Develop automation and reporting scripts using PowerShell and Bash.
- Support cyber recovery, immutable backups, and Cyber Vault solutions.
- Collaborate with Linux, Windows, virtualization, and storage infrastructure teams.
- Participate in disaster recovery testing, backup compliance, maintenance, and change activities.
- 10+ years of enterprise backup and storage experience.
- Strong hands-on expertise with IBM Storage Protect (TSM/Spectrum Protect).
- Experience with Rubrik/Cohesity and Commvault.
- Knowledge of Oracle RMAN backup and recovery.
- Strong PowerShell and Bash scripting skills.
- Experience with backup performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of disaster recovery, cyber resiliency, backup architecture, and storage environments.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and team collaboration skills.
