Genesis10 is currently seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer - Hybrid position with a Major Financial Services Firm located in New York, NY. This is a 7 month contract opportunity. We are seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure and services on Microsoft Azure. This role focuses on building secure, scalable, and highly available cloud environments while supporting application teams with cloud architecture, automation, and operational best practices. The engineer will play a key role in migrating workloads to Azure, optimizing cloud performance, and ensuring platform reliability.
Responsibilities: - Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Microsoft Azure services
- Configure and manage Azure networking components such as VNets, subnets, NSGs, load balancers, and application gateways
- Provision and manage Azure resources using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates
- Monitor and maintain Azure environments using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights
- Manage Azure storage solutions including Blob Storage, Files, and Managed Disks
- Implement backup, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and platform issues across Azure environments
- Perform performance tuning, scaling, and optimization of cloud resources
- Automate operational tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or Python
- Support cloud migrations and deployment of workloads to Azure
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 7-10 years of experience in Infrastructure or Cloud Engineering role
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services including computer networking, and storage
- Experience with Azure Virtual Machines, VNets, Load Balancers, Azure App Services, and AKS
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates
- Strong knowledge of Azure networking and cloud architecture fundamentals
- Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, or Python
- Experience with Azure monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Strong communication skills to articulate thought processes and rationale
- Must be able to work hybrid, onsite in New York City from Tuesday to Thursday
Desired skills: - Previous experience in the financial services industry
- Exposure to AI or Machine Learning concepts
