Location: Franklin, Tennessee (Remote)
Role Overview
We are seeking a senior QA Engineer to work with developers, product owners, and technical leadership. This role involves designing, implementing, and executing comprehensive testing strategies for modern web and cloud-native applications. The position will focus on improving and automating existing regression testing, developing new test cases, and performing manual testing. The work will directly contribute to the quality and reliability of applications used in the healthcare and insurance sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Design comprehensive testing plans based on product requirements and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with technical leadership, product owners, and developers to review feature requirements from a QA perspective.
- Perform hands-on testing of new features, fixes, and regression tests.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual test cases and develop new automated tests.
- Build or expand automated test suites.
- Identify, document, and track bugs and issues from discovery through to resolution.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests and improving test reliability.
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills:- Proven experience in creating, overseeing, and executing testing plans.
- Proven experience designing and maintaining automated test suites using modern frameworks such as Selenium or Cypress.
- Experience testing single-page applications (SPAs) and RESTful APIs in a microservices or serverless environment.
- Strong knowledge of test management platforms such as QTest.
- Strong knowledge of JSON and RESTful APIs, including API testing tools like Postman or Insomnia.
- Experience balancing manual, regression, and automated testing.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to partner with a QA lead and developers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Comfortable with agile methodologies and QA best practices.
- Understanding of healthcare data standards, such as HL7 and X12.
- Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Bamboo, Octopus, and TeamCity.
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
- Experience with AI-assisted testing.
