Position Overview

LPL Financial is seeking an experienced IFS Developer with hands-on expertise in iPipeline's IFS (Insurance & Financial Services) Platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting BPM-based workflow applications and integrations within a Financial Services environment. This role requires strong technical expertise in workflow automation, system integrations, SQL Server development, and BPM process design.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, tune, and implement web-based BPM applications using the iPipeline IFS Platform.
• Build and optimize business workflows and process automation solutions that improve operational efficiency and user experience.
• Collaborate with Development, Enterprise Architecture, QA, DevOps, and Support teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Integrate IFS applications with internal and external systems using REST and SOAP web services.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, optimize, and enhance existing BPM applications and workflows.
• Participate in sprint planning, release planning, and Agile development activities.
• Gather and analyze business and product requirements and translate them into technical designs and workflow solutions.
• Support deployments, change management activities, and application lifecycle processes across multiple environments.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, design patterns, and iPipeline IFS best practices.
• Provide ongoing production support and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with iPipeline's IFS Platform.
• Experience developing and implementing BPM (Business Process Management) and workflow-based applications.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs and SOAP Web Services.
• Experience with SQL Server, including:
  • Stored Procedures
  • Functions
  • Views
  • Scripts
  • Database Optimization
• Understanding of SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture) principles and design patterns.
• Experience with enterprise application integration and distributed systems.
• Ability to gather business requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Financial Services, Wealth Management, Insurance, or Brokerage industry experience.
• Experience supporting BPM workflow modernization initiatives.
• Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD processes.
• Experience with deployment and release management.
• Familiarity with change management processes across SDLC environments (Development, QA, UAT, Performance, Production).
• Experience collaborating closely with QA teams to ensure robust application testing.
