Summary

Role Overview: We are seeking a senior-level Salesforce Technical Lead to provide strategic and hands-on leadership for the design and implementation of Salesforce solutions. This role is specifically focused on higher education environments and requires deep expertise in Salesforce Education Cloud (EDA). You will be responsible for making architectural decisions, overseeing implementation vendors, and ensuring the delivery of secure, scalable CRM solutions.

Contract Details:

Start Date: ASAP
Location: Sacramento, CA (Local candidates preferred).
Hybrid Schedule: Mandatory two days per week in-office (Monday and Wednesday).
Commute Requirement: Must reside within a maximum of 60 miles from the office location.

Key Responsibilities:

Define and govern the Salesforce technical architecture and end-to-end solution design.
Translate complex business requirements into scalable, integration-ready technical solutions.
Review and approve technical designs and deliverables provided by vendors and system integrators.
Ensure rigorous data security, governance, and compliance with institutional standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional project and change management teams to align with the long-term roadmap.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
Experience: 12+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience, including leading large-scale implementations.
Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge of Salesforce configuration, automation, and customization.
Higher Ed Focus: Proven experience supporting Education Cloud (EDA) or higher education environments.
Vendor Management: Experience overseeing and validating technical work performed by external implementation partners.
System Integration: Expertise in designing Salesforce solutions that integrate with diverse enterprise systems.
Certification: Relevant Salesforce certifications demonstrating advanced platform knowledge.
