Role Overview
We are seeking Application Support Analysts to support Equities trading applications. This is a Run the Business (RTH) role focused on backend application support, infrastructure monitoring, and batch processing. The team operates in Houston, collaborating with front-end teams in New York and global infrastructure teams across APAC, India, and the Americas.
Key Responsibilities
Provide end-to-end backend application support for Equities trading systems
Act as the first point of contact for production, application, and infrastructure issues Monitor and support start-of-day batch processes; troubleshoot failures
Handle user queries, production incidents, and system alerts Monitor production environments using standard tools
Perform root cause analysis and escalate issues when required Collaborate with global teams across regions to ensure smooth operations
Maintain application stability during trading hours and critical processing windows
Required Skills
Experience in application support within a production environment
Strong UNIX/Linux knowledge (log analysis, process monitoring, troubleshooting)
Strong SQL skills (querying, data validation, investigation)
Python for scripting and automation Experience supporting backend systems
Preferred Background in financial services or trading environments (nice to have)
Additional Details
Weekend support: Once a month (1 day for batch processing)
