Summary

Job Title: Information Security – M&A Lead (Proofpoint Email Security)

Location: New Jersey (Onsite)


Key Responsibilities

M&A Security Leadership
  • Lead end-to-end cybersecurity execution across M&A lifecycle (due diligence to post-close integration) 
  • Drive Day 0 / Day 1 / Day 100 planning, focusing on email security risks and dependencies 
  • Define and execute secure integration strategies for acquired entities 
  • Develop and maintain repeatable M&A security playbooks 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders 

Proofpoint Email Security Integration
  • Own deployment, migration, and integration of Proofpoint Email Security 
  • Lead tenant consolidation, domain onboarding, and mail flow reconfiguration 
  • Design and implement: 
    • Email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) 
    • Anti-phishing, anti-malware, impersonation protection 
    • URL Defense, Attachment Defense, TAP 
    • DLP and encryption policies 
  • Assess legacy tools and drive migration/decommission strategies 
  • Ensure continuity of threat detection and incident response during transitions 
  • Optimize policies, reduce false positives, and improve detection accuracy 

Required Experience
  • Proven experience leading cybersecurity activities across M&A transactions 
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Proofpoint Email Security (configuration & operations) 
  • Experience with: 
    • Email migrations 
    • Tenant consolidation 
    • Secure mail flow architecture 
  • Ability to manage complex, cross-functional integration programs 
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent 
  • 7+ years in cybersecurity with strong M&A or large-scale integration exposure 
  • Certifications like CISSP (preferred) 
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills 
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
