Job Title: .NET / Power BI Developer

Location: Pontiac, MI

Duration: 12+ Months Contract

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced .NET / Power BI Developer to support application development, reporting, business intelligence, and modernization initiatives within a large enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Microsoft technologies, Power BI reporting, SQL development, and web application support while collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions.

Key Responsibilities

<>Application Development

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain applications using C#, .NET, ASP.NET, and .NET Core.
• Develop and support APIs, integrations, web forms, and internal business applications.
• Improve existing applications for performance, usability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Apply secure coding practices and support role-based access controls.

<>Power BI & Business Intelligence

• Design and develop Power BI dashboards, reports, datasets, semantic models, and visualizations.
• Create DAX calculations, measures, and Power Query transformations.
• Develop reporting solutions that support operational and executive decision-making.
• Enhance existing reports for usability, accuracy, performance, and data quality.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs, reporting requirements, and dashboard expectations.

<>Database Development & Data Management

• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and database objects.
• Support ETL processes, data transformations, reporting automation, and data quality initiatives.
• Analyze and resolve application, reporting, and database-related issues.
• Ensure data integrity and reporting accuracy across systems.

<>Collaboration & Support

• Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Document technical processes, report logic, data sources, and system changes.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and support staff.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on modernization, reporting, and technology initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience with C#, .NET, ASP.NET, and/or .NET Core development.
• Hands-on experience developing Power BI dashboards, reports, datasets, and visualizations.
• Strong SQL development skills including queries, stored procedures, troubleshooting, and reporting.
• Experience developing web applications, APIs, and business solutions.
• Experience supporting web applications and web server environments.
• Ability to gather requirements and deliver scalable, maintainable technical solutions.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
• Experience mentoring or supporting junior technical resources.
