As a Senior Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering advanced Power BI solutions as part of a data platform migration from Azure SQL–based ETL systems to Microsoft Fabric. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable BI products and dashboards that drive business performance by enabling effective KPI measurement, analytics, and visualization.

Must Have

• Migration Experience: Proven experience migrating reports and dashboards from Tableau or other BI platforms to Power BI, preferably as part of a modern data platform transformation.
• Strong knowledge of Power BI – semantic model build and hands-on expertise in DAX.
• Thorough understanding of data modeling concepts for Power BI.
• Strong proficiency in SQL scripting and data warehousing concepts.
• Hands-on experience in data analytics and visualization techniques to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Power BI Development: Design, develop, and maintain Power BI semantic models, dashboards, reports, and data models that deliver clear, accurate, and actionable insights within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.
• Product Development: Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to develop BI products aligned with business objectives and customer requirements.
• KPI Design and Implementation: Identify, design, and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) that align with business goals and enable performance tracking.
• Data Analysis: Perform in-depth data analysis to support business decisions, leveraging Power BI to visualize trends, patterns, and anomalies.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to gather requirements, define scope, and deliver effective BI solutions.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize Power BI reports, semantic models, and queries to ensure high performance and efficient data consumption.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay current with the latest Power BI and Microsoft Fabric features, best practices, and enhancements to continuously improve BI solutions.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for BI solutions, including data models, transformation logic, deployment processes, and user guides.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Power BI Developer with a strong portfolio of successful BI and analytics projects.
• Strong experience in BI product development, delivering user-centric analytics solutions aligned with business needs.
• Extensive experience in KPI definition, implementation, and performance measurement.
• Proficiency in data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and advanced Power BI capabilities.
• Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
