Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mainframe Developer to join our team in Omaha, NE. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in enterprise mainframe application development, maintenance, and support using COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, and VSAM. This role requires expertise in both online and batch processing, strong analytical skills, and the ability to mentor junior developers while delivering high-quality, zero-defect solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, test, and maintain enterprise Mainframe applications.
• Develop and support applications using COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, and VSAM.
• Build, modify, and troubleshoot both online (CICS) and batch (JCL) applications.
• Perform impact analysis and provide estimates for development efforts.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Write efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Debug and resolve production issues with minimal business impact.
• Participate in code reviews and enforce development standards and best practices.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance across the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with QA, business analysts, project managers, and infrastructure teams.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
