Summary:
Mechanical Dynamics and Analysis LLC, a world-class supplier of power generation services, parts, and repairs, has an immediate opening for an experienced IGT-HSC Operations Manager eager to join a growing organization with an appetite for diverse, technically challenging work.

This position will require a self-starter and forward thinker to collaborate with IGT's internal stakeholders to strategize, coordinate, and implement services that align with the location's overall objectives and meet and exceed all external and internal customer needs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, aiding in the planning and execution of the site's projects relative to achieving the site's operational success. Incumbent in this role is expected to contribute to the enhancements in the delivery of all sites' initiatives related to service delivery (on-time-delivery), customer commitment quality, and efficiency in all aspects of the site's gas turbine operations.

Responsibilities:

Actively engages and supports site and safety initiatives, encompassing daily programs such as written documentation, observations, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), etc.
Drives accountability and adheres to policies and procedures to safeguard the well-being of all employees and promotes operational excellence.
Implements and develops operational strategies aligned with the division's business, people, and objectives.
Reports, diagnoses, and executes essential repairs on malfunctioning equipment in addition to assessing the operational readiness of gas turbines and associated equipment.
Collaborates on project planning for gas turbines and equipment at third-party vendor sites.
Ensures repair time commitments are met or exceeded.
Drives operational labor efficiency and optimization with the aim of achieving lower operational costs and increasing efficiency output.
Manages, handles, and follows up on all customer communications and inquiries related to previous and current repair projects.
Conducts, documents, and contributes to site visits to ensure compliance with all repair standards, i.e. iso9001.
Actively participates and supports all root cause analysis (RCAs).
Collaborates with division stakeholders to provide external customers with appropriate recommendations.
Assists in the efficiency of mobilizing and demobilizing parts and related equipment.
Responsible for accurate onsite labor requirements to ensure projects are meeting committed timelines with the customer.
Offers guidance, training, and oversight during the troubleshooting of gas turbines and relevant equipment.
Acquires continued proficiency in the use and application of the available software tools.
Conducts pre-job and post-job analyses as required.
Ensures that all personnel adhere to all safety regulations, standard operating procedures, and workplace standards during task execution.
Collaborates with internal stakeholders and assists in the development and implementation of efficient work processes.
Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations, business efficiency, and continuity.

Requirements

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering AND 5 years of experience in the gas turbine industry.
  • Meet all required background checks, pre-employment drug screening, and any other applicable pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s).
  • Strong project management and problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Proficient with industry software and computer skills, i.e., Microsoft suite, CAD, Primavera P6, SolidWorks, etc.
  • Strong industry business acumen and financial skills, along with oral and written communications.
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Available to work on-site operational hours of the position, to include but not limited to days, nights, weekends, and holidays, with flexibility to travel when required.

Salary Description

$115k - 145K + Bonus (DOE)
